ABOUT POLAND

Poland is a country in Central Europe bordered by Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lihuania, Russia (Kaliningrad District) and the Baltic Sea.The total area of Poland is 312,679 square kilometres with a population of over 38 million people. The Polish ‘Złoty’ is the currency of Poland. The monetary unit (PLN) is  also marked as (zł.). 1 złoty is devided into 100 groszy (gr.). The banknotes come at 200, 100, 50, 10 złoty and coins in 5, 2, 1 złoty and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, 1 groszy.

  • CLIMATE

In Poland spring starts in March with temperatures oscillating between -1 and +20°C. It lasts until end of June when summer begins. July is the hottest month but the rest of the summer is also quite warm with temperatures from 21 to 32°C. The beginning of September is still pretty warm.Then there is autumn when it’s sunny and it can be really nice and warm. However there might be a lot of rain and it can get quite cold. Days become colder until December, when winter begins and temperature oscillates between few degrees above 0°C and sometimes even minus 25°C. Winters last from December to March and include shorter or longer periods of snow. In high mountains snow lies till May.

Any information regarding refunds should be sought in the country of origin. ‘DREAMS’ rehabilitation center issues all documents required for this purpose (invoices, certificates of the therapy, epicrisis).
